The mud baths named after N. A. Semashko is one of the brightest architectural monuments of Yessentuki. Construction of mud baths belonging to architect E.F. Shretter, the member of the Academy of Sciences, was realized from 1913 to 1915. The architecture of the mud baths, built in the style of antique neoclassicism is like ancient Roman Thermae with their monumentalism and preciosity. As well as Thermae, the building consists of two parts – for men and women. This construction built of a local stone has the concrete vaults and the tiled roof executed on the Roman samples. The facade of the building is decorated by Kislovodsk dolomite. The main facade adorned with a portico with Ionic columns. Also, the territory of mud baths is decorated with numerous sculptures.
